Information for Our Exhibitors

The Bakersville Creek Walk Arts Festival is a juried fine arts festival, and the committee is very proud of the quality of work that has been displayed.

Perks for our artists include a dedicated group of volunteers who serve as runners, booth sitters, and setup/breakdown assistants. We are also proud to provide our artists with a catered awards party featuring live local musicians.

We want to thank our Artists for their inspiration, creativity, and work shared.

Judges

Judges for this year's festival will be:

:: Dr. Laura Crary, Assistant Professor of Art History, Presbyterian College.

Dr. Crary Received her BFA in Studio Arts from Ohio University, and her MFA and PhD in Art History from the University of Pittsburgh. She currently teaches art history survey, Renaissance art, Baroque and Romantic art, Modern art, women in art, contemporary art theory and criticism, and Latin American art history. She has presented papers and chaired symposia at the CAA annual conference.

:: Jerry Jackson, Deputy Director, Penland School of Crafts.

Mr. Jackson received his BFA and MFA in Ceramics from East Carolina University. Prior to joining Penland, he served as the Cultural Arts Administrator for the Arts Center at the Imperial Centre for Arts and Sciences, Rocky Mount, NC.
